Since it’s still a bit chilly, you will see some cozy, comfort food on the meal plan this week. I’m testing out another Wildtree slow cooker freezer meal and trying to use up what’s already in the house before I head out to Type A Conference in Philly this weekend. One last weekend away before the new baby arrives.
I’m reading through the new book Slow Cooker Freezer Recipes from my friend Stephanie of Mama and Baby Love. The recipes use real ingredients and I think they will help get me through the early months of having a newborn in the house again. Once I test out a few recipes I’ll share a little more about the cookbook.
Sunday~ Italian spaghetti and corn
Monday~ Hungarian Beef Goulash (Wildtree Slow Cooker) with egg noodles and green beans
Tuesday~ Zesty Citrus Chicken over a garden salad
Wednesday~ Shrimp Scampi, pasta and asparagus
Thursday~ CORN (Clean Out Refrigerator Night)
Friday~ Pizza while Mom’s away
Saturday~ Hot Dogs or breakfast for dinner

I have to admit that I was scratching my head a bit when I saw “corn” listed for Thursday night’s meal on the blackboard. 🙂 Here’s our menu for this week: http://vanessasvalues.blogspot.com/2013/04/meal-plan-monday-415.html Have a great week!
Vanessa, you are not alone! Once CORN starts in your house, it will stick! ~Emily
