EASY VEGAN BROTH RECIPE (GREAT FOR EXERCISE RECOVERY!)
Seaweed provides a wide range of minerals to infuse your vegan broth. Use in place of a vegetable or chicken broth in recipes. This recipe was inspired by Julie Daniluk, author of The Hot Detox.

Ingredients
3quartsof filtered water12 cups
½cupapple cider or white grape juice
¼cupraw apple cider vinegar
2large yellow onionswashed and sliced, skin on if organic
2carrotssliced
2celery ribssliced
2bay leaves
2cupsfresh parsley or cilantro
1teaspoondried thyme
1teaspoondried basil
1teaspoonground turmeric
½cupdulse seaweed piecesor 2 tablespoons agar flakes
1teaspoonpink rock or sea salt
Notes
Place all ingredients in a large stock pot, or slow cooker. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat. Simmer for one hour on the stove, or 6 hours on low in the slow cooker. Strain the broth through a fine mesh strainer. Transfer to glass jars. Let cool slightly and keep refrigerated. Leave at least 1” at the top of the jar if you plan to freeze it.
